SUMMARY:Lenten Studies
DESCRIPTION:For this year’s Lenten Studies\, we will explore the Difference course – a 5 session course that will help us to see transformation through everyday encounters. \nThis course was developed in response to the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby’s vision of seeing the church as a presence in reconciling conflict in the communities we are a part of. He says\, “Reconciliation is not the ending of all difference\, but the transformation of how we deal with difference”. For more details\, https://difference.rln.global/ \nFeb 27: God’s Call: God can transform relationships in a conflicted world. God’s call and equipping make that possible.\nMarch 6: Crossing Divides: God invites us to see where difference or prejudice divide us from others and offers us opportunities to see them as God does. \nMarch 13:  Navigating Disagreement: God is with us as we face the challenge of disagreement\, which can become an opportunity for stronger relationships if handled well. \nMarch 20:  Practising Forgiveness: God is with us in the mess and complexity of trying to put forgiveness into practice in our relationships. \nMarch 27: Risking Hope: Doing relationships God’s way will sometimes be risky and resisted\, but the hope it brings is transformative. \n“Reconciliation is not the ending of all difference\, but the transformation of how we deal with difference” (Archbishop Justin Welby). \nPlease email your interest to Jekheli jekheli@chartwellchurch.org.nz .Thank you. \nNau mai haere mai. All are welcome. \n
